Dr. Paul van Wijlen DDS

Originally from Vancouver B.C., Dr van Wijlen has lived in the West Island since moving to Quebec in 1965. Prior to graduating Dentistry at McGill University in 1983, he attended John Abbott College and Beaconsfield High. Following dental school, Dr van Wijlen completed a General Practice Residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital. In 1985, after a short associateship, Dr van Wijlen took over the dental office of Dr. Chaloner who was retiring after thirty years of practice in Beaurepaire village. In addition to full time practice at the new Ste Anne location, Dr van Wijlen has maintained his affiliation with McGill, acting as part time Faculty Lecturer (Esthetics), he is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He is and avid outdoorsman, enjoying skiing, hiking, kayaking, mountaineering, tennis, and mountain biking, likes to paint with watercolors and has been learning to play the saxophone for five years. Other activities include various charitable endeavors such as V.O.N. activities and participation with the charitable rock band 'Los Cuejos' and support for numerous other community charities and events.

Dr van Wijlen lives in Beaconsfield with his wife Diane, daughter Jacqueline and dogs 'Boomer' and 'Jenny'.
